SACMI @ Gulfood Manufacturing 2026: cutting-edge productivity for caps and preforms

SACMI @ Gulfood Manufacturing 2026: cutting-edge productivity for caps and preforms

From 3rd to 5th November SACMI will be in Dubai to showcase the latest advances in its CCM and IPS cap/preform production technologies. In the spotlight: the CCM80SB and IPS500, high-productivity solutions designed to drive the growth of the beverage industry in the Middle East and beyond. Also on show: services for product development, quality control and process control, provided through the SACMI Rigid Packaging Lab, plus new patented ultra-lightweight 29/25 (0.95 g) and 25/22 easy-open solutions to enhance the customer experience.

SACMI will once again be playing a leading role at Gulfood Manufacturing 2026, the cap and preform production technology fair being held from 3rd to 5th November at the Dubai World Trade Center. Here, the focus will be on new developments on the CCM (Continuous Compression Molding) and IPS (Injection Preform System) platforms, namely the CCM80SB and IPS500: two solutions designed to deliver next-level productivity, efficiency and process control, both specifically geared toward growth opportunities in the Middle East and the needs of the beverage industry.

CCM80SB: trailblazing high-speed cap production

At Gulfood Manufacturing, SACMI will display the latest upgrades to its CCM (Continuous Compression Molding) technology, the international benchmark for cap manufacturing quality, reliability and productivity. Taking center-stage is the CCM80SB, the most productive compression press in the SACMI range, with output rates as high as 240,000 caps per hour.
Outstanding productivity is combined with the signature advantages of CCM compression technology: the material is processed at lower temperatures compared to alternative methods, thus reducing energy consumption and stress on the polymer. The result: a highly stable process, excellent product quality, less waste and streamlined control, even with high-speed lightweight production.

IPS500: higher productivity, enhanced control of preform production

CCM technology is complemented by the IPS (Injection Preform System) PET preform manufacturing range, recently expanded with the IPS500. This new platform further strengthens SACMI’s ability to provide high-capacity systems that combine speed, flexibility, efficiency and process control.
Another distinctive feature of the IPS500 is integrated quality control, achieved by making use of vision systems and the new opportunities offered by fully automated robotic inspection with PVS Robot.

SACMI Rigid Packaging Lab: from design to definitive industrial solution

Integrated cap, neck and preform expertise puts SACMI in a perfect position to help manufacturers develop new generations of lightweight packaging; it achieves this by delivering solutions that optimally balance weight reduction, functionality, performance and the consumer experience.
The range includes the new short-neck and tethered-ready standards. It also comprises specific solutions for water, CSD and other beverage applications, developed to meet the diverse needs of markets and leading international brand owners.
A key facility for the development and validation of caps, necks, preforms and containers, the SACMI Rigid Packaging Lab provides customer support at every stage of the project - from product design to prototyping, testing and industrial-grade trials - in compliance with the policies of leading global brand owners.
As part of this innovation drive, SACMI has also conceived, designed and patented a new cap for the 29/25 neck size that weighs just 0.95 grams. And that’s not all: the company has already sold cap production systems for the 25/22 neck size in Saudi Arabia, confirming lightweighting as a vital new factor in still water applications in the Middle East.

Quality and processes are increasingly data-driven

Completing the SACMI offering is a broad range of vision systems for the inspection of caps and preforms, available in both integrated and offline configurations. The evolution of quality control towards process control and the use of new AI-enabled opportunities means that data taken from production lines can be converted into information that streamlines management of production processes. Quality, productivity and control thus merge to form a single ecosystem that targets the reduction of inefficiency and waste while making production increasingly simple, stable and competitive.
As the saying goes: ‘power is nothing without control’.
