From 28th to 30th October, SACMI will be in Mumbai to showcase its latest rigid packaging solutions. Highlights will include the PVS Robot, CCM and IPS technologies and new opportunities for ever-lighter caps, all alongside a strengthened local presence for spare parts, service and technical support.
SACMI Rigid Packaging will play a leading role at Drinktec India 2026, to be held from 28 to 30 October at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Here, SACMI aims to reaffirm its commitment to the crucial Indian market by illustrating a portfolio that merges product development services, comprehensive technologies, process control and local support.
PVS Robot: fully automated preform quality control
The centerpiece of the SACMI stand will be the new PVS Robot, which performs off-line quality control of PET preforms, taking automation to the next level. From product handling to format changeovers, the entire process is automatic. The result? Less risk of human error and more stable, consistent inspections.
PVS Robot also has outstanding automatic settings capabilities, allowing ultra-efficient inspection of preforms fed from different presses and different formats. The system achieves throughputs of up to 1,200 preforms per hour - with optional integrated weighing - combining automation, precise inspection and ease of operation.

Solutions of particular interest to the Indian market include the GME 30.41 Ultralight for CSDs and the UniAqua™ 25/22 and 26/22 short-neck families. These expand lightweighting opportunities and aid the transition to new standards - tethered-ready configurations included - by taking an approach that concentrates on versatility and lower raw material consumption.
